"And then, to cap it all our East London Boys put the Totts to the sword and showed them up as the Bleedin' Liabilities they really are. Anyone who was there knows how Bloody Lovely it was."

Songs
Welcome to our songs page, where you can find words to the current favourites - and old classics - doing the rounds at Upton Park. If you would like to add your own contribution go to the form at the bottom of this page.

Current Favourite Three

Di Canio
Sung to the tune 'That's Amore'

'When the ball's in the goal,
And it's not Joey Cole,
it's Di Canio ...

When the Ball's in the air,
And it isn't Sinclair,
It's Di Canio ...

When the ball's on the grass,
And the ref's on his arse,
It's Di Canio ...'

Scousers
To the visiting Liverpool support; sung to La Donna E Mobile (thanks to Adam, Ben and Top Cat for the song title ...)

'We've got Di Canio,
You've got our stereo ...'

Blue Flag
Perrenial favourite for the mob at Stamford Bridge. Sung to the tune 'Red Flag' (or at least that's what it was in Citizen Smith).

'Up your a*se, up your a*se,
Stick your blue flag up your a*se,
From Stamford Bridge to Upton Park,
Stick your blue flag up your a*se ...'

Old Favourites

Couldn't not mention these:

Bubbles
The West Ham United anthem - sung for at least seventy years by the Upton Park faithful. Sung to the tune, er,  'Bubbles' (and also more recently to 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' - thanks to Mike the Hammer for that one).

'I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air,
They fly so high, nearly reach the sky,
Then like my dreams they fade and die,
Fortunes always hiding,
I've looked everywhere,
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air ...'

Frank Snr
In memory of Frank Snr's FA Cup semi-final winning goal in 1980 - sung to the tune 'White Christmas'

'I'm dreaming of a Frank Lampard,
Just like the one at Elland Road,
When the ball came over,
And Frank fell over,
And scored the f*cking winning goal ...'

Knees Up
Much missed favourite from the 1980's (and before) from which we took our name. Many crushes were endured on the terraces back then whilst this one was in full flow. You'll know the tune.

'Knees up Mother Brown,
Knees up Mother Brown,
Under the table you must go,
E-I-E-I-E-I-O,
If I catch you laughing,
I'll saw your legs right off,
Knees up, knees up,
Don't get the breeze up,
Knees up Mother Brown,
Oh my, what a rotten song (SEE),
What a rotten song (SEE),
What a rotten song,
Oh my, what a rotten song,
What a rotten singer, too-oo-oo ...'

He's got Shearer in his hand.
He's got Shearer in his hand.
There's only one Ferdinand!!!

More Di Canio from Red Mountain

Comments:- Sung to That's Amore

When the ball’s in the net
You can take a safe bet
It’s Di Canio

When he scores from a pass
He picked up in his half
It’s devine

If he beats your ten men
Then he does it again
It’s Di Canio

When he leaves bad boy Stam
Looking like a big ham
It’s sublime

Everywhere we go ... from Beater Blocker

Comments:- I'm not that old but I can faintly remember this one. If the words are wrong please alter them.

Everywhere we go
People want to know
Who we are and where we come from
This is what we tell
We are the West Ham
Glory glory West Ham

(Even more) Di Canio from James from Farnham

Comments:- Sung to La Donna E Mobile

Paulo Di Canio
He's bloody madio
He scores goals for funio
Against the bloody Arsenal
